I went today at Selfridges for the presentation of Byredo's new hair scents for Santmag. Like all the girls I love hair scents, that's why I were so corious.
Code of all Byredo’s works is to give us a sensation
gift through the scents mixing perfumes to raw materials using few ingredients.
An evocative gift related by memories, an emotion, a remind of a person, a
situation or a taste. Ben Gorham, reflect in his work
his original mix of cultures, witch is half Swedish and half Indian, and has
studied between New york, Toronto and Sweden. Bal D’Afrique, witch is important to
understand the brand, is inspired by Ben’s father and is something very
personal and emotional for him. Because of Ben’s father travel in Africa, Ben grow
up surrounded by black and white pictures of these travels that finally
inspired this fragrance. A mix of: African culture, the Paris of late 20, dance
and vibrating avant-gardism atmosphere. Notes that include: Neroli, that is
quite feminine and round, in the top and Vetiver at the base that gives balance
to the fragrance.
Gipsy water, express Ben’s vision of a very natural life
style. It opened by notes of Bergamot, fresh and citrusy and amber and vanilla
in the base. For Gipsy water he was reminded by his life in Canada and Sweden.
Blanche, witch is my favourite, is inspired by Ben’s wife's (the funny thing is she don't wear fragrances at all) inspired him on creating something very transparent
pure, clean that remind on fresh laundry, bed linen and musk.
Byredo launch his new hair fragrances with a
new campaign in collaboration with a famous hair stylist called Chriastiaan
Houtenbos witch has created a super coloured hair cut breaking with Byredo’s
usual black&white appearance to inject visual craziness with innovation to
represent all the layers and the character that those fragrances will gives to
the hair.
Are a bit expensive for me but if you can effort that price, you have definitely to take them!
